Chapter Ten

As Mike had prepared to play his shot David had watched Sade and April walk confidently into the bar. In the time he had known Sade he had hardly seen her surprised or fazed by anything but when Mike turned round it was like she had been hit with a baseball bat. She took a step back, her mouth open in shock.

Mike was no different, his eyes wide in disbelief at seeing his ex wife in Pattaya.

Sade recovered first.

“Mike, what the hell are you doing here?”

“I could ask you the same thing. I couldn’t imagine a more unlikely place to find you.”

Sade laughed, recovering her composure somewhat.

“Well what about you. You never take a vacation anyway and if you did I would have expected you to buy your own private island off Phukhet or something.”

Mike laughed and said a little sheepishly.

“Well with what you knew of me I could see why you would think that. Your Charles Dickens message caused me to rethink my life a little. It is really nice to see you again.”

Sade smiled.

“Well I am as stunned by that as I am at seeing you again”

She gave him hug and a kiss on the cheek. Something that she would never have envisaged doing before as their break up had caused a lot of bitterness on Mike’s part.

She looked at David suspiciously.

“Did you plan this David”?

“How could I plan it? I don’t know you ex husband from Adam. I knew he was an investment banker in New York and I knew his name. When he mentioned the message you had sent him it rang a bell as I know you got that from April but it still seemed a bit fanciful that he would be that Mike.

Let me do the introductions. Mike this is April, the sister of Jackie who was in earlier. April, Sade, this is Jeap, Deng and Jhong.” Almost as if it was an afterthought he indicated Carl. “And this is Carl the bar owner.”

They all said their hellos, the Thai girls doing the traditional wei. Carl gave no indication of being aware of the snub as he was staring transfixed at the newcomers.

Both girls gave him a decidedly cool greeting, April’s bordering on the impolite. Carl did not seem to notice, his eyes were like saucers as he stared at April. It was immediately apparent to David that he recognised her.

April had asked Tuk for Carl’s name and U. S. state on Sophia’s instructions and she had then had him investigated. Sophia now thought there was a good chance that Carl was a sub in denial. It was her experience that a lot of men who disrespected women were secretly turned on by the idea of female domination.

This suspicion hardened after Sophia interviewed his second wife. She had proudly told Sophia how she had humiliated and denied him sex for two years. She had boasted about how she had had a string of lovers, who she took great delight in telling him about.

She was not a Domme.
